Foxy (Taolanquest Ruby Slippers) continued her winning ways at the Regional Specialty show before AMCA's National Specialty in mid-November, winning reserve winners bitch. Thank you, breeder-judge Illona Chu! It is always a thrill when one of my dogs does well at one of AMCA's premier events, where dogs come from around the world to compete. Foxy was beautifully handled by her breeder and co-owner, Laurie Newburn of Taolan Alaskan Malamutes. At the National Specialty that immediately followed, my dogs were not shown as I had the humbling experience of judging the puppy and veteran sweepstakes competition. What an honor--I had so many beautiful dogs to judge! Thanks to my peers and fellow national club members for selecting me for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and for bringing your gorgeous puppies and veterans.
